People's Daily inform China Railway Construction finish last steel sheet pile on west bank of Taihu Lake was in bottom of the lake. This is completion of construction of cofferdam in Yixing section of the Zhushan Lake Tunnel, the longest trunk road tunnel under construction China. More than 12000 steel sheet piles, 2900 steel pipe piles inserted and driven.

The Zhushan Lake Tunnel has a cofferdam with a length of 7.81 kilometers, a foundation pit depth of 18.64 meters.
