Virginia Department of Transport Set to Embark on Its Largest Project Ever - US$3.8billion Tunnel-Bridge
Work comprises a new twin two-lane tunnels to the west of the existing tunnel and upgrading the four-lane segments of the I-64 corridor in the cities of Hampton and Norfolk.
At 45 ft. wide, the tunnel will be the second largest tunnel opening for a tunnel boring machine in North America.
