“BKL continues to be actively built. The eastern section of the Big Circle Line includes four stations, 10 kilometers long. The site is 77 percent ready, and there is no doubt that it will be commissioned according to plan - in 2023. About half a million people live near these four stations, who will use them one way or another, they will feel the positive effect of the launch of this part of the Big Circle Line,” said the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin.

A large transport hub is being formed in Tekstilshchiki, which will be used by more than 100,000 people daily. “The Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya branch passes here, and there will be a transfer to it. In addition, a railway platform is being built nearby, the MCD-2 station is being reconstructed, and a giant Moscow high-speed diameter highway, the South-East Chord, is being laid nearby, which will become part of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter,” Sergei Sobyanin said.

The construction of the eastern section of the Big Circle Metro Line from the Kashirskaya station to the Nizhegorodskaya station began in 2018. The section is 10.7 kilometers long. There are four stations here: Klenovy Boulevard, Nagatinsky Zaton, Printers and Tekstilshchiki. Trains will run between Tekstilshchiki and Klenovy Bulvar stations in a large double-track tunnel with a diameter of 10 meters.

According to Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor for Urban Planning Policy and Construction, a new stage in the construction of the Big Circle Line will begin in June - the connection of new stations to the power grid. “A significant stage for us is that we can begin the installation and testing of all the necessary life support and traffic control systems,” the deputy mayor emphasized. At present, the overall construction readiness of the eastern section of the BCL is 77 percent.
