Radio Mitrovica reports NGOs and citizend of Peja and Rozaje have met on the top of the mountain of Kula to demand the governments of Montenegro and Kosovo start building a tunnel that will connect the two cities.
The projected tunnel would be 7,3 kilometers long 9 meters wide to accomodate two lanes. This tunnel would shorten the total road length between the cities of Rozaje and Peja from current 47 km to 23,5 km.
Radio Mitrovica quotes Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic recently stating that "the construction of the Pec-Rozaje tunnel is becoming more certain", during a conversation with his Kosovo counterpart Albin Kurti, about which he wrote on his Twitter profile.
