Answering a question at Kerala Legistlative Assembly on Tuesday, the Minister for Public Works P.A. Mohamed Riyas said the state government has sanctioned a feasibility study for a road connection between Vypeen and Fort Kochi either in the form of a tunnel or an elevated road.

The Hindu writes that in the past the cost of a 2km road 35 meters below the ground has been estimated to cost around 1500 crore.
