For the first time in the world, driverless technology helps high-speed railway tunnel construction. Recently, the concrete wet spraying trolley with driverless tech developed by CRCC was successfully commissioned in Yixing, Jiangsu Province.
The system provides a driverless solution for the Cooperative Vehicle Infrastructure System (CVIS). Under high-risk geological conditions, the equipment can drive to the designated position autonomously and switch to remote control operation mode after it is in place. The system also applies multiple sensing methods including Inertial Navigation, LIDAR, and Machine Vision, which can identify and integrate data effectively, and achieve real-time reliability and seamless switching of positioning information in complex environments inside and outside tunnels.
The successful test of the driverless system of tunnel construction equipment at the construction site has accumulated more experience for us, and further promoted the tunnel operation towards the direction of less personalized and unmanned construction.
