Lachin region has been liberated from Armenia's 30 year long occupation previous year. During that 30 years, Azerbaijan Turks were ethnic cleansed by Armenians during the occupation. Now Azerbaijan invest heavily in region to attract people back.

One is Lachin Airport. It has 2400 metre tunnel also.
