1700 meter twin tube Ivan Tunnel will open tomorrow with the participation of EU Commission head Ursula von der Leyen.

The tunnel is part of A1 motorway between Tarčin-Konjic and also European Transport Corridor. Bosnian company Euro-Asfalt is building tunnel. Euro-Asfalt has wide experience in tunnel works. For Ivan Tunnel, NATM (New Austrian Tunneling Method) method to be used.

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has given a credit of 50 million euro for the construction of the tunnel. Also 11.4 million euro came from European Union.
