Korea: Government promotes TBM tunneling to suppress citizens' opposition to GTX Line
Won Hee -ryong, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport dismissed the concerns of residents of Eunma Amat residents. The metropolitan area express railway (GTX) C line will be promoted according to the original plan with emphasis on Tunnel Boring Machine tunneling method rather than NATM.
Hyundai E & C, in priority negotiation for GTX-C line constructionhas construction experience of 26 TBM tunnels in Korea and abroad.
