The contract is linked to the construction of the southern part of the total 26.7 -kilometer submarine tunnel between Randaberg in the south and Bokn in the north. Implenia/Stangeland will build a twin tunnel from Randaberg in the south and halfway towards Kvitsøy, a total of 18.5 kilometers.

    - I would like to congratulate the entire region on the day. Now the construction from both sides of the Boknafjord. Rogfast will ensure good mobility for large parts of Western Norway. For industry and working life, saving 40 minutes of travel time between Stavanger and Bergen will mean a lot, says Statens vegvesen director Ingrid Dahl Hovland, who believes that the project will also mean a lot for working life in the region, and for ferry -free E39.
