Statens vegvesen (Norwegian Public Roads Administration) is telling the drivers to watch out for reindeers and sheeps in tunnels!

Be aware of reindeer and sheep in tunnel
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration encourages motorists to be extra observant of reindeer and sheep that draw into tunnels due to the warm weather in the north.

-Reindeer and sheep are looking for shelter in the fine weather and can come abruptly on motorists in the tunnels. This is especially true of the tunnels in Northern Norway, explains the professional group leader at the Road Traffic Center in Nord Håvard Langmo.

-It is important that motorists take it easy and are extra observant. If you hit a reindeer or sheep, there are often more. Drive slowly and notify by spouting, but not getting out of the car, is Langmo's clear call.

Particularly exposed is the Algast tunnel on the E6 and the Stallogargo tunnel on highway 94.
