The Mostostal Warsaw and Acciona Construcción consortium start to bore for the 2,2 km tunnel in Via Carpatia.

Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) to be used has 15,16 meters in diameter with 471 drilling tools installed and will bore at a depth of over 100 meters according to the report (link below).

Tunnel is on S19 expressway from the Rzeszów Południe junction to Babica and the contract value is over PLN 2.2 billion.
