Autostrade has given the information that inspection activities will continue in the Monte Baldo tunnel.

A27 MESTRE-BELLUNO: INSPECTION ACTIVITIES RESUME IN THE MONTE BALDO TUNNEL BETWEEN VITTORIO VENETO NORTH AND VITTORIO VENETO SOUTH

GUARANTEED FULL RUNNING AT WEEKENDS

Rome, 25 August 2023 - On the A27 Mestre-Belluno, starting from 24:00 on Sunday 27 August, inspection activities will continue in the Monte Baldo tunnel, in both arches, located between Vittorio Veneto Sud and Vittorio Veneto Nord.

The timetable, shared with the local authorities, provides for two distinct phases in order to minimize the effects of transits. The first phase will start on the night of Sunday 27 August and will last until the end of September, and will involve the northern arch to allow for in-depth inspections as part of the tunnel assessment program that Autostrade per l'Italia, jointly with the Ministry of Infrastructure and of Transport, has launched on the entire network under management. To allow it, a lane exchange will be activated at the height of the archway which will in any case guarantee the transitability of the stretch in both directions. In order to facilitate users, therefore, the work schedule provides for the removal of the site on Saturdays and Sundays.

A second phase of inspection, included in the plan of periodic checks envisaged, as per the reference legislation, following the modernization activities already carried out, will involve, starting from the end of September, the southern arch in the direction of Mestre. These in-depth inspections, carried out by a leading engineering company, will last approximately three weeks. Also in this phase a carriageway exchange will be activated at the height of the archway which will in any case guarantee the transitability of the stretch in both directions.

In order to make it easier for users, the Udine Trunk Management has planned an enhancement of the user assistance service.

Constant updates on the road conditions and alternative routes are broadcast through the "My Way" connections broadcast on Sky Meteo24 (Sky channel 502), on Sky TG24 (Sky channels 100 and 500 and digital terrestrial channel 50), on La7 and La7d (digital terrestrial channels 7 and 29) and on the following channels: on the autostrade.it website, on RTL 102.5, on Isoradio 103.3 FM, through the variable message panels and on the Infomoving TV network in the service area.
