The Unirii Highway secures the first European Union funding in the Transport Operational Program. There are six parts.

After funding, it is now in tender process with estimated tender value of 3.35 - 3.95 billion lei. This part in tender is 23.4 km (it has 1km tunnel)  between Miercurea Nirajului and Sarateni. The whole highway will cost  7.5 billion euros, hopefully with European Union funding.
