Yesterday (28 April) was the World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2024

Ghella also celebrated the twentieth anniversary of the "World Day for Safety and Health at Work", established in 2003 by the ILO. The theme chosen for 2024 is "The Impacts of Climate Change on Health and Safety at Work", recognizing the impacts that climate change is bringing not only to the health of our planet but also to that of our workers.

We are committed to ensuring an effective system for the protection of the health and safety of our people and of all other stakeholders, by integrating the effects of climate change into our workplace Health and Safety practices.

For this reason, we aim to increase awareness of preventive measures and protection to make work safe and healthy, carrying out specific training, information, and awareness campaigns on the topic of climate change and its effects. We will deepen the risk assessment, focusing on professional risks exacerbated by climate change, such as heat stress, UV radiation, extreme weather events, air pollution, major industrial accidents, increased vector-borne diseases, and increased exposure to chemicals.

We have identified specific ESG actions and targets aimed at improving our Health and Safety performance while also helping to counteract the negative effects of Climate Change.
