Sri Lanka: Iran completes dam construction with 22,5 km tunnels and 595m vertical shaft
Iranian built a dam on Uma Oya in the Puhulpola region of Sri Lanka with a 3.7-km long water conveyance tunnel to take the water to another dam. And from there another 15.2-km long tunnel and a 595-meter vertical shaft to an underground power plant which has another 3.6-km tunnel to take the water to the Alikuta Oya river.
