The tunnel blasting work for the 5th section of the Honam High-Speed Railway Phase 2 in the Cheonggye Bay section of Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do, was be carried out from September 2022 in compliance with the underwater noise allowance standard (140 dB/Pa) after obtaining permission to use the shared water surface from Muan-gun Office in December 2021.

In order to investigate the damage caused by the decrease in catches of fishermen in the Cheonggye Bay fishing industry, the construction company (Taeyoung Construction Co., Ltd.) has commissioned and is conducting a fishery damage impact survey (via Mokpo National University Industry-Academic Cooperation Group) and plans to pursue compensation negotiations based on the results of the service.
