I think this a great article. Author is Oh Won-seop, Director of Machinery Industry Strategy Research Institute.

It summarize Korean view on how Tunnel Boring Machines technology use machine learning. It give examples of intelligent TBM operation by Hyundai using a 14m-diameter ultra-large shield TBM in the Gimpo-Paju Expressway Han River Tunnel project that began in 2022.

There is much more insight. I a sorry I can not translate it without copyright problems. I advise you use translation tools and read. It is very good.
