Bauma2019 Is it worth visiting for tunnellers?

Hi everybody,

I know Bauma is a big construction fair. But is it really interesting for a tunneller or is it all cranes and excavators?

Thanks

Well, a quick search on Bauma's website for keyword "tunnel" lists you 210 exhibitors.

    https://exhibitors.bauma.de/en/exhibitors-products/exhibitors-brand-names-search/action/list/controller/Exhibitors/

And when I searched for the known tunnelling companies I found the following exhibiting at Bauma:

    • The Robbins Company
    • Herrenknecht
    • CREG
    • CRCHI
    • E-Berk
    • Palmieri
    • Normet
    • Tünelmak
    • Condat
    • Würth

This is no way a complete list. I just want to show that quite a number of tunnelling business is participating in this fair.

    Cheers.
    Ray.

Some big tunnelling names like Terratec, NHI are missing. Although I think NHI owns Robbins nowadays.

    I don's see Lovsuns either.

Please add Sandvik to exhibitors. Your list is most lacking without.

I would say, Bauma is definitely worth a visit for tunnellers.

As someone from the tunnel equipment manufacturing, the importance of me is the chance to meet the component suppliers. Like Carbide cutter bits for TBM cutter head knives etc. There are lots of opportunities to meet suppliers fro all over the world. Great to visit Bauma. Unfortunately I cannot this year because of other more pressing work related responsibilities...

Guys, in my opinion Bauma is not only the biggest construction equipment trade show, but also the biggest tunnel equipment trade show. What else do we have? World Tunnel Congress is close but its tunnelling exhibition spectrum, especially in the components level is not as wide as Bauma.
