The webinar is an initiative of CSPFEA, a company that operates in the AEC sector.
The webinars are presented in Italian language.
Tuesday 6 July: "Evaluation of safety in tunnels with Midas GTS NX in the light of recent guidelines"
by Eng. Stefano Scapin, CSPFea Geotechnical Manager,
Webinar introduces the series with the presentation of Midas GTS NX, 2D and 3D geotechnical analysis software, for assessing the safety of a tunnel and the related intervention methods, starting with the modeling of the terrain and the part structural and defining the parameters of the materials and, finally, the analysis by construction phases.
Tuesday 13 July: "Assessment of settlements induced by the TBM excavation of the M2 Line in Warsaw: 3D analysis and monitoring data of the underpass of a road viaduct"
by Eng. Matteo Minno, Project Manager of SGS - Structural Geotechnical Studio.
During the webinar, an important infrastructural work will be shown, the M2 Line of the Warsaw metro. An advanced 3D analysis will be shown with Midas GTS NX software for the assessment of settlements induced by TBM excavation in an underpass of a road viaduct, comparing the results obtained with monitoring data .
Tuesday 20 July: "Soil-structure interaction in unstable slopes even in the dynamic field" The webinar is held by Eng. Gabriele Frigerio, by Eng. Gabriele Mocchi and by prof. Riccardo Castellanza of EG4 Risk, a Spin-Off Company accredited by the University of Milan-Bicocca.
The Company is made up of a group of University Professors, Freelancers and the CSPFea Company, whose integration provides added value to products and services, characterized by a high quality level of value. During the webinar, an important soil-structure interaction work of a structure located on an unstable slope will be shown with the Midas GTS NX software. The stability of the work will also be evaluated in the dynamic field
Tuesday 27 July: "Numerical analysis of tunnels in anisotropic formations" The webinar sees Eng. Francesca Brambilla and Eng. Juan Sebastian Bolivar Vasco of ARUP, an independent company of Designers, Planners, Engineers, Architects, Consultants and Technical Specialists, which works on every aspect of today's built environment. During the webinar, a Midas GTS NSX modeling of a tunnel excavation located in a rock mass will be presented.
The webinar sees Eng. It is an interesting work because an "experimental" modeling technique was studied in which ARUP engineers tried to model the rock mass with 3D elements that represented the rock blocks, and with interface elements that represented discontinuities. This technique was then validated through a work of calibration of the parameters and the comparison of the results obtained with other calculation software and other modeling methods
The GeoTech Expert webinars are free, upon registration, and will be held every Tuesday in July 2021 at 10.30.
