  17/09/2019 09:00:00 21/09/2019 17:00:00 ICTUS 2019 - The 2019 International Conference on Tunnels and Underground Space   The 2019 International Conference on Tunnels and Underground Spaces The 2019 International Conference on Tunnels and Underground Spaces (ICTUS19) is organized by The Korean Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (KTA) . ICTUS19 will be held on 17 September ~ 21 September, 2019 at ICCJEJU (International Convention Center Jeju) in Jeju Island, Korea.  The conference is operated under the platform of the 2019 world congress of Advances in Structural Engineering and Mechanics (ASEM19). ASEM19 is a single platform for various fields of studies including tunnel technologies, and a total of 12 conferences will be held under the platform of ASEM19. ICTUS19 is the conference dedicated to tunnel and underground space related technologies.   The theme of the conference is “Tunnels connecting to Another World”, which includes sessions as follows:  Innovation in Mechanized Tunneling  Developments in Underground Space Technologies  Improvements in Conventional Tunneling  Structural and Hydraulic Interaction in Underground Structures  Tunneling and Underground Works in Extreme Conditions  Resilience and Sustainability in Underground Space The conference will be a wonderful platform to exchange new information and ideas related to tunneling and underground space construction industry, and it will be a successful one with experience gained through ITA-WTC 2006, TU-SEOUL 2013, Subsea Tunnel Forum 2015, ICTUS17 held by KTA.  Since the ICTUS19 will be held in close association with Techno-Press journals, in particular with the “Geomechanics and Engineering s, An International Journal” (SCI(E) Indexed), some selected papers will be considered for publication in the “Conference Special Issue” of GAE journal.
