One can only have sympathy for the residents. Some tunnel exits are as shallow as 6 meters under somebody's bedroom. Nonsense design.
Tim, You hint here the contractor Gulermak did not read the book. What is wrong with your assertion is that probably Gulermak has more know how to write better books than...
I am not the one who said they did not read books. I only translated the already said thing to tunnel talk.- I think the title can be deceiving. The tunnel system Albarradón de Ecatepec was built by the European invaders, but the paintings found in the tunnels were painted by natives worked in the construction of the tunnels.

Newspapers say train cars split into 2 before they pass through Marmaray tunnel in İstanbul. Marmaray is an immersed tunnel. They did not want whole train cause weight risk.

You are confusing CityRailLink with the CentralInterceptor project. The former is 12 meter transport tunnel whereas the latter is a 5.45m waste water tunnel. In any case, knowing your preferences, you will be glad to hear that it is 2-0 for Herrenknecht.
