Early Study starts to replace Scotland's second busiest ferry service with a tunnel or bridge
A joint study is conducted to explore the feasibility of a tunnel or bridge to replace the current ferry service at the Corran Narrows on Loch Linnhe in Lochaber. It is the second busiest ferry service in Scotland after Gourock to Dunoon.

It is still in very early stages. In my opinion it will all be muted when the environmentalists voice their concerns, which they will, soon or later. I am not very hopeful of this idea going far, really.
Fixed link at Corran Narrows confirmed as viable option.
A high level feasibility study funded by Regional transport partnership HITRANS, the Highland Council and Highlands & Islands Enterprise (HIE) concluded that "a fixed link is a viable proposition from an engineering, planning and economic perspective that deserves more detailed examination and costing".
It is wrong to assume that everyone is enthusiastic over the proposed Corran Narrows tunnel
