Chinese company start work again at Serbia's longest tunnels
Because corona virus state emergency is ended, Chinese workers started work for two important tunnels under Mount Jelica. Tunnels are part of road Chinese company is building between Preljina and Požega.
When the Munjino brdo and Laz tunnels are completed, they will be the longest tunnels in Serbia. The length of Munjino brdo is 2800 metres and the length of Laz tunnel is 2900 metre. They are two tube tunnels and Chinese workers already moved 30 meters in both tubes of Laz tunnel.
When the road is completed, travel from Čačak to Belgrade will be significantly shorter and it will attract investments.
Chinese company continue with Laz tunnel
Construction of Munjino brdo and Laz tunnels will be the longest tunnels in Serbia. A China contractor is building them.
'Almost a third of the 30.93-kilometer-long route on the future highway from Preljina to Požega, whose contracted value of the works is 523,530,000 dollars, will consist of bridges and tunnels'

Chinese work day and night 7 days week for tunnels under Mount Jelica in Serbia. There is much underground water and gas.
Laz tunnel excavation is on plan. Left tube 352m and right tube 391m excavated.
Munjinom brdo tunnel on other side of Mount Jelica more complex. Because it is on the side of mountain, tunnel stability is very poor. Therefore it must be strengthened. 60m on the left and 153m on the right excavated.
