3,243 meters of Túnel Guillermo Gaviria Echeverri has been excavated
Ministry of Infrastructure of the Antioquia Government has said that the one third of the length (of 9,73 km ) of the Túnel del Toyo (Túnel Guillermo Gaviria Echeverri ) has been excavated.
The Túnel del Toyo is a combined tunnel and road project in the north of the Colombian Department of Antioquia and almost 100 kilometers from Medellín, the second largest city of Colombia.

Toyo Tunnel's (Túnel del Toyo / Túnel Guillermo Gaviria Echeverri ) second section already gets green light.
National Government of Colombia will commit for 1.4 billion pesos for the works for the tunnel which will make it possible to connect the Antioquia region with the Atlantic Coast.
This section will be 19.4 kilometers long with 11 tunnels, 13 bridges and 12.5 kilometers of normal road.
