Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) Operator

Main Role:The person in this role is responsible in operating microtunnel boring machines within alignment specified by contract documents.Job Duties and Responsibilities:• Have a demonstrated understanding of microtunneling procedures• Have a minimum 5 years recent experience in microtunneling operations• Show professionalism when dealing with internal and external customers• Actively participate in the MTBM system assembly/disassembly during mobilization/demobilization periods• Responsible for testing all MTBM utility connections• Monitor line and grade to ensure alignment remains within tolerances described in project plans and specifications• Maintain accurate records of jacking operations per specified forms• Responsible for operation, daily maintenance and routine repairs of MTBM

Job Location:     Kuala Lumpur Pahang Selangor

Monthly Salary:     MYR2500-MYR3500

Requirements:     

• Candidate must possess at least 3 years’ experience with microtunnel boring machine operations. Must have the ability to perform a variety of duties that may often change and work within standards of accuracy• Ability to stand or walk for long periods; use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Climb up and down ladder, scaffolds and other objects. Stoop, kneel, crouch, and/ or crawl. Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites• Valid driver’s license• Team player, able to get along with a diverse group of people working towards a common goal
