The modernization of the Łódź railway junction (TEN-T), stage II, section Łódź Fabryczna – Łódź Kaliska/Łódź Żabieniec in Poland, started in 2018, is going forward! It is the next phase of the Łódź tunnel project started in 2011, with the construction of 16 m deep underground Łódź Fabryczna railway station and cut & cover tunnel connecting Łódż Fabryczna with the Łódź Widzew station.
