On February 8, the news came that completion date of St. Petersburg orange and brown metro lines was delayed to 15 December 2024. As published in Fontanka journal in Russia and quoted by forpost-sz.

Reason for decrease is the limits of budgetary obligations. Journal indicates the delay agreement signed between Directorate of transport construction and Metrostroy but it is not publicized. Now the contracts indicate that the completion date is December 15, 2024.
