Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis says “A tunnel is the only solution”
Talking to CBS Miami, Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis says he loves the idea of a 3-mile tunnel from NE 13 St. to just south of Davie Blvd. The 3-mile long route would require two tunnel tubes each of which would cost $50m.
Fort Lauderdale is in early talks with Elon Musk's The Boring Company for "Las Vegas style" tunnels in the city. He was one of the Florida mayors who visited TBC's tunnels in Las Vegas and California.
