Gulermak - Tata JV operated TBMs finish tunnelling under the Mutha River for Pune Metro
Two Terratec Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM) of Gulermak - Tata Projects have successfully completed boring the first tunnelz under the Mutha River.
TBM Mutha has bored 240meter tube and TBM Mula bored 223meter tube. I think these Terratec TBMs have diameter 6.61m. EPB TBMs.
Great success for Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (Maha Metro).

Tunnelling under the Matha was through unbroken basalt rock formation.
The length of the two tubes were 240m and 223m respectively. They were bored 18m below ground level and 13m below riverbed.
