The company selected for studying bridge and tunnel alternatives is controversial. Diario de Sevilla is reporting that UTE Ayesa-Fhecor is accused of being pro-bridge. The mayor criticized the ministry for awarding the company for this contract. Some time ago, the president of Ayesa, one of the companies making up the joint venture, had publicly declared he prefer a bridge. Therefore the mayor hints the company is not impartial.
