Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on June 17 Hyundai E&C consortium as the preferred bidder for  Metropolitan Express Railway GTX-C route project that connect Deokjeong and Suwon in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do. write MK. The project cost is estimated to be about 4.3 trillion won. It will complete in 6 year.

Consortium has Hyundai E&C, Hanwha E&C, Taeyoung E&C, Dongbu E&C, Ssangyong E&C, and KB GTX-C.  The GTX-C line connects the 74.8km section from Deokjeong Station in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do to Suwon Station.

Route will pass through Gangnam Eunma Apartment through an underground tunnel with a great depth (more than 40m below the ground).
