China's largest TBM "Splendid"made independent of foreign know-how. It is 12.79 metre diameter. 

It is made by China Railway 14th Bureau Group and China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Group (CRCHI). 

It is for Chengdu-Zigong High-speed Railway from Chengdu City to Zigong City. It is important part of Beijing-Kunming Passage, one of the "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway passages in the "Medium and Long-term Railway Network Planning" inform Peoples Daily. It is for 2.62 kilometers Jinxiu tunnel. Maximum deep 60 meter underground.

Design speed 350 kilometre per hour.
