The consortium of Hæhre and Risa ANS have been nominated for the tunnel contract E15 Kvitsøy on the E39 project E39 Rogfast.

The contract consists of a 3480 m long single-lane tunnel from Kvitsøy down to the main runs for the Rogfast tunnel. The tunnel will be operated with a slope of seven percent. Other works in the contract are road construction, three bridges and sea embankments. The Rogfast tunnel will be the world's longest and deepest underwater road tunnel.

    - After a number of poles in the last competitions we have participated in, we are very pleased that the ball is now in the middle of the goal. In competition with Kruse Smith Entreprenør AS, NCC Norge AS and AF Implenia Norge AS / Stangeland Maskin AS, we reached the top this time. The project will start already in September, says project director for supply and market Nils Smetbak.

The contract has a value of 622 million excl. VAT, where Hære's share is approx. 55%. Hæhre will carry out tunnel work and bridge construction, while Risa will carry out mass transport and landfill work.

When the project is completed, the Rogfast project will be a full 26.7 km long. The project will reduce the travel distance between Stavanger and Bergen by 40 minutes.
