"Shenjiang No. 1" is the first domestically-made shield machine used for the construction of high-speed railway subsea tunnels.
On August 23 "Shenjiang No. 1" mud-water balance shield machine manufacture finish. in Changsha. The TBM diameter of 13.42 meters. It will be used in a major transportation infrastructure project in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area-the new Shenzhen-Jiangmen high-speed rail Zhujiangkou tunnel project.
Tunnel length 13.69 kilometers and under sea part 11.05 kilometers. Maximum buried depth of shield section is 106 meters.Maximum water pressure is 1.06 MPa.
