Pakistan has to pay $11.6 million to China. In July 2021, 13 tunnel workers for Dasu Hydropower Project tunnel construction in Kohistan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province killed after an explosion on their bus. 9 of the dead were Chinese tunnel workers.
