KCIC (PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China) is a joint venture between a consortium of SOEs through PSBI (PT Pilar Sinergi BUMN Indonesia) and a consortium of Chinese railway companies through Beijing Yawan HSR Co.Ltd.
1- Funding: In 2021 the Indonesian consortium PT Pilar Sinergi BUMN, could not deposit money into project. Government decided to put money from State Equity Participation to PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI). Government replaced Wijaya Karya. Government is now consortium leader.
2- COVID 19 : Until February 1 2022 491 workers positive
3- Difficult tunneling of clayshale obstacles in tunnels 2, 4, and 6.
This will delay construction.
