Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRL) chief executive officer Datuk Seri Darwis Abdul Razak said East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project overall progress is 27.82% as of last February.

The 665 km long railway ECRL project has 59 tunnels a total length of 61 kilometers.  Project contractor is China Communications Construction Company Ltd (CCCC).
