Romanian National Company for Road Infrastructure Management (CNAIR) announce the winner for contract for the design and execution of section 3 (Cornetu-Tigven) of the Sibiu-Pitești highway. It is 37,4 kilometre and has a 3,4km (2 tubes x 1,7km) long tunnel as well.

On 12.05.2022 CNAIR designated the winner of this contract, the association of Webuild SPA - Tancrad SRL, with the price of 5.323 billion lei, excluding VAT.

The contract for the design and execution of section 3 (Cornetu-Tigven) of the Sibiu-Pitești highway was signed. 

Monday, 01.08.2022, CNAIR signed the contract for the design and execution of section 3 (Corleutu - Tigveni) of the Sibiu - Pitești highways with the associate Webuild Spa - Trancrad SRL.

The value of the contract is 5.323 billion lei, excluding VAT, the financing of the projection being ensured from non -reimbursable European funds.

The contract for the most complex section of the Sibiu-Pitești highway are a 12-month design period and a 45-month execution period. The warranty period of works is 120 months.

The length of this highway section is 37.4 km. Main works on this section are: 95 bridges and passages Tunnel with two independent galleries, in length of 1.7 km/gallery Corretu road node and Văleni road knot node Ecodus in the area of ​​Călinești Section 3 (Cornetu-Tigven) and section 2 (Boița-Cornetu), have a total logic of 68.73 km and forms the Montan section of Sibiu-Pitesti Self-Store that will actually cross the Carpathians.
