Lack of coordination between different transit authorities during construction has been blamed for the traffic headaches caused by Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel partial closing.

Responding to widespread criticism, Quebec Minister of Transport Genevive Guilbault said `there is no miracle' solution and the Quebec PM Franois Legault, visibly struggling to come up with the right answers, told the reporters that he is open to suggestion regarding potential measures like banning the cars without passengers from the tunnel, encouraging car-sharing and the use of public transport.
