Construction of 7.3km 4-lane tunnel will cost 697.4 billion won. 5.93 km of 7.3 km tunnel is undersea tunnel.

For project, preliminary feasibility study approved in 2022 August. In September, Public Procurement Service announced tender and started bidding on a turnkey (design and construction) basis.  It is written DL E&C, Posco Construction, and Lotte Construction each formed a consortium and entered into a basic design for submitting bid documents.
