We are currently recruiting for a Ground and Tunnelling Engineer to join our ambitious and experienced team. We are working on stages as early as feasibility studies up to detailed designs on a wide range of projects. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation and Water projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for the Europe Global Delivery Center (Poland/Spain).

The responsibilities of this role include:

• Work is accomplished autonomously on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC within established procedures and practices related to ground and tunnelling engineering.

• Independently prepares ground / geotechnical models using specific tools.

• Processes geotechnical data for ground interpretation and report preparation.

• Supports in the preparation of geotechnical designs and recommendations as bearing capacity for foundations, earthworks, stability and settlement analysis, etc.

• Performs a self-check of work products prior to submitting to others and participates in quality control reviews of documentation originated by equally or less experienced staff.

• Prepares project deliverables that are reviewed by senior team members.

• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven track record of working on ground and tunnelling engineering designs (+5 years) for Transportation and Water Projects.

• Skilled in the use of specific ground engineering and tunnelling software as Geoestudio / Plaxis / Rocscience. Others as FLAC / Midas GTS will be considered favorably.

• Advanced level in CAD software (preferable AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).

• Experience working in the North America region / Australia will be considered favorably.

• Communicative level of English (oral and written).

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised University

• US and/or Australia Professional Engineer license will be considered favorably
