Water sources, springs dry and Kerontang residents have to walk long distances to get water from a river.  Residents complain it is related to tunnel works in connection of Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train Project. Water started to dry up when the tunnel went through, water from the drilled wells decreased and then finally dried up about two years ago.
