Spain's Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) release (original in Spanish with the link at the bottom).

Mitma obtains the favorable environmental impact statement for the AC-14 road connection with AP-9, in A Corua

This milestone enables Mitma to move towards the approval of the draft and to initiate the draft of the route project, to be subject to the process of public information. The new road aims to contribute to the reduction of traffic congestion problems in the peak and exit hours of the city of A Corua.

10-10-2023 The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (MITMA) has obtained the declaration of environmental impact (day) favorable to the draft for the construction of a connection vial between the AC-14 car (Link of A Zapateira) with the AP- highway 9, in A Corua.

As published in the Official State Bulletn, the Ministry for Echological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, as a competent Environmental Rgan , as well as the effects on the environmental factors derived from their vulnerability. It also includes the process of public participation and consultations.

From now on, Mitma could move towards the approval of the draft to initiate the draft of the route project, which is subsequently submitted to the public information process.

The evaluation has been carried out for the level of detail corresponding to a draft, according to the provisions of articles 11 and 13 of Law 37/2015 of roads. The proper evaluation of some environmental impacts of the construction project that subsequently develops this preliminary draft requires that the promoter perform additional analysis appropriate to its higher level of detail.

The connection branch AC-14/AP-9 object of study is included in the sector plan of the road network of A Corua, Arteixo, Culleredo, Cambre, Oleiros, Sada and Bergondo, as Sectorial Plan of Supramunicipal Incidence, approved on date September 9, 2004, within which the action was called Vial 18. In addition, the action is included in the Infrastructure and Housing Plan 2012-2024 (Pitvi) that Prev, among others, a series of performances for the mode of road transport in urban environments.

The new vial has the objective of contributing to the reduction of traffic congestion problems in the peak and exit hours of the city of A Corua, downloading to the maximum possible traffic to the Urban Auto Act-11 and complete the mesh From the access network to the city, since this road is transversal to the two of you go from greater rank (AC-14 and AP-9) that give access to it.

    Alternatives contemplated

The environmental impact study includes four alternatives, in addition to the zero alternative or non -action, being discarded, among other reasons, for not adapting to the investment plan in the medium and long term established in the Pitvi, nor to the sector plan of the Red Red of A Corua, Arteixo, Culleredo, Cambre, Oleiros, Sada and Bergondo.

Alternative 1 Norte: develops a rectilneous route in the direction . In front of the geritric complex, from the 0.400 km and with a length of 140 m, a section of the false tnel vial (called false tnel of A Laxe). It continues with this alignment until reaching the height of the A Lax, where after a next time a kilometer, turns north and subsequently to the east to connect with the AP-9 at the approximate height of km 4,000. It is an approximate longitudinal development of about 1.4 km.

Alternative 2 South: It is arranged in parallel and south of the corridor of alternative 1 north, running along the space between the complex formed by the Rialta University Residence and the Orpea geritric complex, which will remain north of the corridor and the Mansosol urbanization, which will remain south of the corridor. It maintains a parallel development to that of the previous corridor until, overcome the mbit of the University and geritric residence, turns towards the NE to connect with the corridor of alternative 1 at the height of the place of A Laxe. From this point, the development coincides with the corridor of alternative 1.

The 3 Tunnel alternative: maintains, practically, all the elements of route of alternative 1 north, but a tnel is built in the mximous excavation height, between Km 0.200 and 1,030. The layout length is 1,251 m. The total length of the tnel trace is 800 meters.

Alternative 4 Viaduct: It runs along the narrow corridor confined between the Rialta University Residence and the Orpea geritric complex, which remain north, and the meek urbanization, which will remain south of the path. Starting from the link from A Zapateira (AC-14), it develops a layout that progresses in the south direction, in Terrapln, to the 0.200 km. The layout continues, in viaduct to km 1,240. It runs later in Terrapln, even linking in the AP-9 in the vicinity of km 3,500, saving the AP-9 through a superior step with a trumpet type link.

Alternative 1 north and alternative 3 of the Tunnel are the best located in the analysis carried out. From the results of the multicriterium analysis and the study of robustness and sensitivity, it can be concluded that for the construction of the connection vial between the AC-14 and the AP-9, the Ptima alternative is the North alternative 1, whose layout is shows below.
