For the 1.6km two tube Victory Boogie Woogie Tunnel of the Rotterdamsebaan project, the consortium of BAM, Wayss & Freytag and VolkerWessels use a Herrenknecht mixshield tunnel boring machine (TBM).

It had already been used before for the Sluiskil Tunnel, also in the Netherlands, between 2013 and 2015. The Herrenknecht TBM has been refurbished in Germany and then shipped back to The Netherlands.
