The 6,35 metre Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) will be used by Turkish company GULERMAK to construct the subway in Cluj-Napoca. It cost 15 million dollars.

The TBM "Cârtițele” has passed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and it has been shipped from China. It is on its way to Romania.

The contract was signed to build the subway on May 25, 2023 with the consortium lead by Turkish GULERMAK contains also Alsom and Arcada.
