I read this in The Tribune. It is everywhere in press. In this case title is "Concerns raised over Turkish firm’s role in rail project survey". I have changed it because I find this frenzy against Turkish firms wrong, It is total madness.
There are some Turkish engineering firms active in India. Gulermak and so on. They are doing excellent engineering work. It is madness to alienate companies and people who are doing good work for India.Yes Turkish government is lately more friendly with Pakistan. But it is between leaders of India and Turkey and between the governments. Why alienate people who do good for India?
YES I want everything in India to be made by Indian companies. I want everything we use to be made in India. Unfortunately it is not so. It is not reality. It takes time. Until then we need the work of good foreign companies who contribute to India.
For Turkish companies; unlike many western engineering firms, Turkish companies transfer skills to Indian companies. Take Gulermak. Several companies who finished tunnel work as junior partners with Gulermak have now acquired the skills and now they are awarded contracts on their own in India. I do not know the company in question, the Yuksel Proje, but I have no reason to say they are not doing excellent work. Look the people who talk against Yuksel Proje are who? Manali Hotel Association. What do they know about construction? Who is propping them?
We can not leave the future of India to this madness and people after who knows what.
Rohit.
The company in question is Yuksel Proje. If they are doing their job good, keep them out of problems between countries. It is the task of the intelligence services to asses the risks for all foreign companies. Not only this but any other company from any other country. Who says some people who work for for example a German company is not recruited by Pakistani intelligence?
I think if some people are attacking Yuksel Proje, there is something behind it and it is most probably not patriotism.
Question: Who will benefit if Yuksel Proje is prevented from doing their job. The culprit lies in the answer.
