All that pro Malta-Gozo tunnel messages I see in this group, I think it needs some balancing.
Obviously I am also for building tunnels but not at all costs.

The Gozo-Malta undersea tunnel is a tunnel for cars, not for people. It is, in fact, the antithesis of the underlying theme of the National Transport Master Plan for 2025. It is pertinent to remember

Maltese economy is heavily dependent on tourism. And that of smaller island of Gozo is even more so. What is next? Malta is linked to Italy via a tunnel? An island linked to other land via a tunnel will not be an island anymore IMHO...
