Korea Electric Power Research Institute announced on 14 July: KEPRI succeeded in developing a model for TBM advance rate.

The Korea Electric Power Research Institute conducted about 120 experiments on various rock types such as weathered rock, soft rock. KEPRI developed the first 3.5m class small section tunnel excavation model based on the torque, rotational speed, and rock strength of the shield TBM.
