Peter Vesterbacka, the Finnish entrepreneur planning the Tallinn-Helsinki tunnel wants to use also the Rysäkari Island as an excavation point. The privately-owned island lies 5 km away to the south of Helsinki mainland. He thinks, by excavating at 8 different points, the tunnel project can be completed in two years.
